Privacy Policy

What we collect

To prepare your Islamic will, we collect what you enter in the wizard: personal and family details, addresses, assets and debts, funeral wishes, executor and beneficiary information, and, for Quebec notarial wills, your Social Insurance Number. We also keep account information (email, password hash) and a security audit log of sign-ins and access to your will.

Why we collect it

Solely to generate your will documents, calculate your Faraid inheritance shares, run your account (sign-in, MFA, password recovery), and keep a security record of who accessed your will and when. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Optional data sharing, always opt-in

Some features involve sharing data beyond your account, and every one of them is off by default until you turn it on:

• Sharing a will draft with your organization (mosque/community portal) for review, per will version, default off.
• Requesting a consultation with a notary or wills lawyer.
• Cookies/local storage beyond what's required to keep you signed in; see the consent banner shown on your first visit.

Deletion, on request

You can request deletion of your account and all associated will data at any time. Once processed, your personal details, will content, and uploaded documents are permanently removed from active storage. Some records, such as audit logs required for security purposes, may be retained in de-identified form for a limited period as required by law. To request deletion, contact us using the details below or from your account settings once that option is available.

Security

Access to your will is logged. Multi-factor authentication is available on your account. We are working toward encryption at rest for stored will content as part of our pre-launch security hardening; see the beta notice shown across this site.
